SOMALIA- A lawmaker was killed in a car bombing yesterday near the presidential palace in Mogadishu.

CEOAFRICA.com gathered that Mohammed Warsame Feisal was reportedly driving his vehicle unaware that somebody had planted a bomb in his car which exploded in the capital city. He was the chairman of the government’s social services committee.

Sources revealed that the bombing came at a time of political transition when the Parliament ousted the prime minister in a no-confidence vote Monday, couple with government’s struggles to end Al-Shabaab insurgents in the country.

The attack also comes a day after a suicide bombing that targeted a military convoy killed at least seven people and injured dozens of others in the northeastern Somali city of Bosaso.
