The decomposed body of a yet to be identified man has been discovered hanging from a tree in a bush close to the Methodist High school along the Lagos/Ibadan express way Toll Gate area Ibadan.

In a statement released by the Oyo state Police command and made available to CEOAFRICA news, the police stated that it was informed about the body through a phone call at about 3pm on Thursday and dispatched a team of detectives led by the DCO, ASP Akanmu Abidemi who traced and located the scene where they met the corpse hanging on a tree.

The statement added that it was not a fresh incident as the body had started decomposing adding that health officials from Oluyole  local government secretariat has been contacted for the removal of the corpse due to its decomposed state.

Confirming the incident, the Oyo state Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO) DSP. Olabisi Clet-Ilobanafor stated that investigations into the incident has commenced.
