In an effort to promote economic relations between Nigeria and Germany as well as for peer review, Senate President, Bukola Saraki, will today lead a five-man delegation of the Senate to the Bundestrat, equivalent of the Senate in the German Parliament.
According to Ceoafrica, Saraki’s Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Yusuph Olaniyonu disclosed this in a statement.
On the delegation are Deputy Senate Leader, Bala Ibn Na’Allah, chairman, Foreign Affairs Committee, Monsurat Sunmonu, chairman, Committee on Power, Enyinnaya Abaribe and chairman, Committee on Defence, Abubakar Kyari.
The Senators will hold series of meetings with leadership of the German Parliament and the German-African business groups.
The Senators will at different times meet with the President of the Bundestrat, Mrs Dreyer, Vice President of Bundestag, the lower House, Johannes Singhammer, the Parliamentary State Secretary in charge of the Federal Ministry for Economic Co-operation and Development, Thomas Silberhorn, the Konrad Adenauer Stiftung, head of Julius Berger, Mr Walter J. Lindener and President of the Berlin House of Representatives, Ralf Wieland.
