Over a post on the website of the Ogaden National Liberation Front (ONLF), that "more than 300 people have died from a cholera epidemic in the Ogaden during the last 72 hours", the Ethiopian government has dismissed the claims.

According to Ceoafrica, Ethiopian government official has termed the reports as “simply false and deliberate fabrications”.

Ogaden is the territory comprising the eastern portion of Ethiopia.

It was gathered that the ONLF, which has been fighting the government for years, tends to exaggerate reports that are critical of the authorities.
