The Kenya Medical Association has published a statement this morning, appealing to government and doctors' representatives to get together "one last time" in an attempt to end the three-month-long strike.

According to Ceoafrica, Doctors' leaders yesterday said returning to work under an imposed order would be "career suicide".

A day earlier, President Uhuru Kenyatta denounced the doctors' financial demands as "blackmail".

It would be recalled that the Kenyan government yesterday withdrew the deal reached for doctors because of their absence from work.

The three- month-long strike has caused paralysis of medical activities in the Africa country.
