The Force Commander (FC), Multinational Joint Task Force (MNJTF), N’Djamena, Chad, has been assured of assistance by the Chief of Joint Operation Headquarters Northwood, United Kingdom, Lieutenant General Sir John Lorimer.

This was contained in a press release signed by Military Public Information Officer, Colonel Mustapha Anka and was made available to CEOafrica.

 Colonel Anka stated that Sir John Lorimer, made this pledge during his operational visit to Headquarters MNJTF yesterday, where he commended the efforts of MNJTF towards nipping terrorism in the bud.

Lieutenant General Sir John Lorimer thanked the Force Commander for the hospitality accorded to him and his entourage, which included Colonel Jeremy Hughes, Commander Operation TURUS and UK Liaison Officer, Wing Commander Miller Vicki, Major Greaves James and WOI Lennon, Colonel DJ Cormier, Chief, Centre for Coordination and Liaison (CCL), Chief of Staff MNJTF, Colonel Major Seydou Badje and Chiefs of various cells of the MNJTF.

 

However, in his welcome address, the Force Commander Major General, Lamidi Adeosun appreciated Sir John Lorimer for his visit; he used the medium to disclose the achievements, challenges and prospects of the MNJTF.

He thanked P3 Countries comprising of United States of America, United Kingdom and France that is made of centre for coordination and Liaison (CCL) for their assistance in form of Critical Intelligence, training and coordination.

Furthermore, he appreciated the good relationship the force enjoys from the governments and people of Lake Chad basin Commission (LCBC), Countries and Benin Republic.

General Adeosun also acknowledged the support and cooperation of other strategic partners like the African Union (AU) and the European Union in their collective efforts to defeat terrorism in the region.

He promised that under his leadership, no stone would be left unturned towards achieving the aims of Multi National Joint Task Force (MNJTF).
