An FCT High Court sitting in Gwagwalada has remanded one Dominic Ogah for stabbing his wife and daughter to death in Mpape over alleged witchcraft, an offence contravening Section 221 of the Penal Code.

The defendant denied knowledge of the crime after the First Information Report (FIR) was read to him.

Counsel to the defendant, A.O Oluwole, pleaded with the court to admit the defendant to bail in most liberal terms.

The bail plea was, however objected to by the prosecutor, Adeniyi Oyeyemi, who said the offence was not ordinarily bailable.

Justice M. Balami ordered the remand of the accused and adjourned the case to May 22, 2017.
