As preparation continues at the camp of the Home-Based Super Eagles in Abuja, goalkeeper trainer, Ike Shorounmu has expressed his delight with the level of professionalism which the Golden Eaglets goalkeeper, dele Alampasu is displaying.

Alampasu is one of the four goalkeepers fighting for final spot to the CHAN in January.Others include captain Chigozie Agbim, Daniel Akpeyi and Danladi Issah.

According to Shorunmu, Alampasu and Danladi Isah of Sharks has been very impressive in their quest to break into the team.

“They (Danladi and Alampasu) have been wonderful along with Dan Akpeyi and Chigozie Agbim,  they can even challenge for World Cup places, but it might be too early in the day, so let’s keep our fingers crossed for now.

“But I do know that should he (Alampasu) and of course the other goalkeepers keep his head cool and continue with the level of work he’s doing I think he’ll be a great goalkeeper”, Shorunmu posited.

Coach Stephen Keshi will soon announce the final 23 players that will feature at the CHAN starting in January 11.
