NIGERIA (Abuja) - First Lady, Dame (Dr.) Patience Jonathan has encouraged every Nigerian to always be at peace with one another as a way of changing the fortunes of the nation for good.

Dame Patience Jonathan made this declaration on Tuesday during the National Women Fasting and Prayer for Unity held in Abuja, adding that women should love the country and put aside any form of separation.

“No matter the political party you belong to, let us come together and put this country in the hands of the Almighty God,” she said in her speech which can be likened to a spiritual sermon.

According to CEOAFRICA correspondent at the prayer ground, the first lady, who backed up her speech with many bible passages,  also rendered many gospel songs in English and other indigenous languages to back up her passion and faith that God will change the story of this Country for good and allow peace to reign in Nigeria.

She also urged Nigerian women to become the Esther of their time, adding that only God can take absolute control of this country.

She concluded her sermon-speech by praying for forgiveness regarding any sin which the Nation has committed so that absolute peace can reign in Nigeria.

The prayer session was held simultaneously with Dame Patience Jonathan leading the Christian wing while the wife of the Vice President, Mrs. Sambo led the Muslim section.
