NIGERIA (Delta) – Delta State Lawmaker, Hon. Edoja Akpodiete, who was suspended by the State Assembly on September 26 over alleged gross misconduct, has been recalled.

The decision to revert the six-month sanction was triggered by the motion moved by the Deputy Majority Leader, Mr. Johnson Erijo.

In his statement, the Deputy Speaker said that the lawmaker had shown some signs of remorse, adding that he has realized his mistakes.

The motion, which was unanimously supported, was seconded by Mr. Efe Ofobruku, who added that the lawmaker should be forgiven in the spirit of the yuletide season.
