Army'll not relent in fighting border crimes, criminals – GOC

The Nigerian Army has said it will not relent to collaborate with the management of the Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS) to fight border criminals.

The General Officer, 2 Division Nigerian Army, Major General Ahmed Tijani Jibrin disclosed this in Ibadan when Comptroller, Nigerian Immigration Service, Oyo State command, Mr Opadiran Isaac Bode paid him a courtesy visit at the Adekunle Fajuyi Cantonment, Odogbo, Ibadan.

He assured of effective collaboration with the NIS with a view to tracking border crimes and criminals.

The GOC maintained that NIS had enormous tasks in fighting insecurity across borders.

He stressed that Nigerian Army would continue to cooperate with the organization for the security of the Nigerian populace and its borders.

Speaking, NIS boss said the aim of the visit was to extend his hands of fellowship to the Division in order to achieve success in curbing current security challenges in the country.

He thanked the GOC and other Principal Staff Officers for the rapport and contributions they have been making in creating enabling environment in the state and environs.
