Africa’s richest man, Aliko Dangote, has been named the 2017 recipient of the ‘Malaria No More’ Global Leadership Award.

The event which took place in New York in the United States, was attended by dignitaries from across the world, all committed to eradicating the scourge of malaria in the world.

The organisers stated that Mr Dangote was honoured for his role in fighting the spread of the disease in Africa and Nigeria in particular, through his contributions to the ‘Saving One Million Lives in Nigeria’ initiative.

Although the event sought to address the malaria menace, it was still indeed an evening of relaxation.
