New Minimum Wage For Workers is Long overdue- Sen. Abdulffatai Buhari

National House of Assembly representative from Oyo North senatorial district, and Chairman senate committee on Information and Communication Technology (ICT) and cybercrime, Senator Buhari Abdulfatai, has declared his support for increase in minimum wage for workers in Nigeria, noting that it is ‘long overdue’.

Buhari disclosed his support for the agitation in a message to workers on May Day.

He noted that the quest for new minimum wage is long overdue and therefore optimistic that the executive arm of government will do the needful as soon as possible.

The Senator enjoined workers not to relent in their contributions to the growth of the nation and their respective states.

He noted that “Nigerian workers deserve to be commended for their doggedness and immense contributions to the advancement of Nigeria as a country and it is on this note that I am joining them on this memorable day

“I also want to use this medium to appeal to them to please corporate with those in the helms of affairs in at the Federal, state, local governments in their bids to take Nigeria out of its present economic situation, our collective responsibilities will go a long way in preparing a better country for the coming generations,” Buhari appealed to workers
