The Peoples Democratic Party in Katsina has rejected the Mashi/Dutsi bye election as declared by INEC insisting that the election should be declared inconclusive.
The party has resolved to challenge the election in court and the eligibility of the APC candidate.
The party's chairman Salisu Majigiri at a press conference said election was not conducted in 23 polling units because of alleged connivance of INEC officials and top government functionaries along side police to defraud electorates of their voting rights.
He said, INEC was neither fair nor just in the election to the PDP or electorates in Katsina if it did not conduct fresh election in those units.
' Over 13,000 people are disenfranchise from voting in the last election, Similar thing happened in Kogi and INEC declares it inconclusive and eligible voters were not able to vote'
This election was a clear case of threat to democracy and rape to justice adding that Ministers, senators, Commissioners, state assembly members from the state are all part of the ugly power rigging that took place'.
