CIVIL RIGHT GROUP APPLAUDS ENUGU POLICE COMMAND

An Enugu base civil right and human right group under the aegis of probity in

Nigeria(P.I.N) have applauded the Enugu State Police  Command for a crime free 2014 christmas celebration describing the experience as a memorable one. The group made this known on 27/12/13 at the office of the State Commissioner of police Adamu Mohammed Abubakar when they paid him a courtesy visit to felicitate with the Command as a result of the feat.

 

 According to the leader of the group Ben motuanya who is also a human right activist and a social crusader based in Enugu, partnering with the police by working with them as members of the public will help to sustain the tempo hence he solicited for more collaboration with the police to send crime

to abyss.According to him,police patrol vehicles were seen in all the nook and cranny of the state and used the occassion to thank officers and men of the Command as well as other sister security organizations in the state for the synergy in existence while also maintaining that police is a noble profession and however promised that he will be supporting police programme with his group at all times.

 

In his response,the state commissioner of police Adamu Abubakar Mohammed

thanked the group for finding time to visit the Command pointing out that with the collaborative effort of the members of the public through the giving of timely and useful information,the entire area is made safe and secured and solicited for more collaboration as information given to the State Command about crime and criminality will be treated with utmost confidentiality.

 

According to an elated Adamu who also spoke assuredly about some measures put in place by his Command for a crime free festive period like christmas and new year celebrations to include robust patrol and partnership amongst others. He appreciated the efforts of his officers and men who are always there ready to give functional security.
