NIGERIA (Kwara) –The Igbomina Development Forum, a socio-cultural group in Kwara State, has called on Nigerians to support President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan’s bid to tackle the nation’s challenges.

During a forum organized on Saturday at Agbamu, Irepodudun Local Government Area of the state, the group also called for participatory politics and internal democracy in parties to strengthen the nation’s democracy.

The organizer of the forum, Mrs. Shola Adedoyin-Adeoti, appraised the current socio-political development in the state and urged the Igbominas at every nook and cranny to work for their political emancipation.

“We are all Nigerians irrespective of our political affiliations. We should seek the development of the country by ensuring unity of purpose,’’ she said.

In the same vein, a PDP stalwart, Mr. Kunle Sulyman, called for sustained unity among the Igbominas, adding that they should sustain their passion for community development through self help.
