56 Kano Deportees Arrives From Saudi Arabia

NIGERIA (Kano) – Following the repatriation of illegal immigrants in Saudi Arabia, a total of 56 Kano indigene has been received by the government of the state as part of those deported from the holy land.

While addressing journalist yesterday in Kano, the Director-General of the state Hisba Board, Abba Sufi, said that all the deportees were in good health of mind and body, adding that two of them came from Niger Republic, while one hails from Gombe State.

He said that the board had already handed over the Niger nationals to their consulate office in Kano, while the one from Gombe had been handed over to the state welfare office.

“The state Deputy Governor was here on Thursday where he addressed the deportees and gave them assurance that the state government will support them.

“All those from the state have been reunited with their families and will be given assistance to enable them be on their own’’, he said.
