Two people have lost their lives in auto crash along Enugu/Port Harcourt Express way, while another person sustained injury. The accident which took place at Ituku Ozalla in Enugu State on December 29 at about 1.45 pm, involved a white bus with registration number PHC 90 GRK with three occupants. It allegedly hit one stationery trailer with registration number XC 905 GRK loaded with bags of cement from the rear.

The Police Public Relation Officer (PPRO) DSP. Amarazu Lawrence, Enugu State Police  Command which confirmed the incident, said as a result, the vehicle caught fire and went in flames which injured the three occupants and placing them to serious condition.

They were later rushed to University of Nigeria Teaching Hospital, Ituku Ozalla for medical attention where two of the victims were confirmed dead while one of them identified as Simon Idowo believed to be a personnel of Nigeria security and civil defence corps Akun Division Nassarawa State was responding to treatment.

To this end, members of the public were advised to go to University of Nigeria Ituku ozalla Enugu State to check whether victims are their relations or loved ones for necessary action.
