NIGERIA (Ogun) - The CEO, Proforce Limited, Ade Ogundeyi, has expressed confidence that African Economy will grow beyond comprehension, only if fundamental problem of corruption can be addressed.
He made this declaration during an exclusive interview with CEOAFRICA online news media at his factory located in Abeokuta, Ogun State, adding that local manufacturers can meet up with the needs of Africans, especially in the area of security, if given necessary motivation.
Speaking further, Mr. Ogundeyi, a Chemical Engineer, said corruption has brought decay in infrastructures and is affecting the development of local industries in the country.
“African economy is facing problems arising from corruption. For instance, many industries currently experience difficulties due to lack of constant electricity supply.
“If the problem of corruption can be put to check, African economy would experience rapid growth, even beyond the Asian economy.
Mr. Ogundeyi, therefore, encouraged Nigerians to complement various efforts of President Goodluck Jonathan in securing the lives and properties of the people in this country, adding that a tree cannot make a forest.
“President Goodluck Jonathan’s administration is trying to develop this country, but he needs the support of every Nigerian because a tree cannot make a forest,” he added.
