NIGERIA (Enugu) - The Enugu State Commissioner of Police Adamu Abubakar Mohammed has described unity of purpose as one of the key element through which any leader can achieve effective set goal in his organization.

He disclosed this on Wednesday, January 1, 2014, on the occasion of annual get together organized for its officers and men by the Commander No 3 Police Mobile Squadron Enugu Csp Mammam B.Giwa,  at the Squadron Multipurpose Hall.

According to Adamu who was accompanied by his wife and some key staff as well as some Divisional Police Officers, the Squadron performed well in the year 2013 in crime prevention and detection and as such pointed at unity and commitment as the watch word while charging  the commander and his men not to rest on their oars in 2014 as it is not easy to get to the top and also not easy to remain there.

In his brief remark, the Squadron Commander maintained that this year’s get-together organized for his officers and men is the second edition and that the essence is to get all the officers and men to unwind after putting their best throughout the year while they will be appealed to put in their effort in 2014.

He further stated that apart from the using relaxation the gathering offers, that it is geared towards engendering unity and oneness amongst officers and men of the Squadron and thereby enabling them to achieve positively the goal of crime prevention and detection in the state and beyond as everybody will see each other as having come from one family which is the Squadron and also Nigeria police force.

Officers and men were thrilled with  comic activities from the command's police public Relations Ebere Amaraizu and his crew of entertainers that are notable from Enugu and beyond while the highlight of the occasion was the formal presentation of gift items to their two retiring personnel identified as RTD Inspector Thomas PETER aka Agaba of the provost unit of the squadron and RTD Inspector Godwin Ozoani of the tailoring section of the squadron.

In his vote of thanks, the 21/c of the Squadron, Badamosi Musa thanked the Commissioner of police and key officers as well as other guests for finding time to rejoice with the Squadron.

The Commissioner of Police has his key officers as Assistant Commissioner in charge of administration Acp. Okpong Okpong  and Area Commander Oji River Acp. Polycarp Dibia amongst others.
