The State Director of National Orientation Agency (NOA) Enugu State has urge parents to take up the duty of giving their children proper upbringing by strengthen their families moral values.
Mr Isaac Onukwube in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on Friday in Enugu stated that families need to uphold their core values in order to curb the high rate of crime and violence in the society.
He expressed concern for lack of parental care amidst many families in the society which has led to the involvement of their children in various crimes and anti- social activities.
Onukwube also urged parents to have the number of children they could instill discipline and respect in to curtail crime in every community.
He concluded by calling on parents to desist from displaying bad attitudes, adding that their children could easily intimidate them, thereby causing havoc to the society.
