An Ikeja Local Government Clerk, Shamsideen Abiodun Omotayo was kidnapped on Wednesday morning by gunmen.

Omotayo was wheeled away at Imota, Ikorodu on his way to work, spokesman for the local council secretariat, Bello Onilegbale said.

According to him, Omotayo’s kidnappers have contacted the council’s Head of Administration, Mrs. Mosunmola Otaiku-Okoka to demand for a ransom of  N20m.

The spokesman of Lagos Neighbourhood Safety Agency (LNSA), Afolabi Olawale, said efforts to rescue Omotayo are ongoing.
