As part of the build- up to 2019 election in Oyo State, Otunba Adebayo Alao-Akala , former governor of Oyo State and former senate leader, Oloye Teslim Kolawole  Folarin  have been spotted in a trending pho‎tos with incumbent Governor Abiola Ajimobi after a political meeting in London yesterday.

CEOAFRICA source gathered that the meeting is a political realignment and to woo Senator Teslim Folarin to the ruling political party ahead of 2019 election in Oyo State.

Recall that Both Folarin and Alao-Akala were members of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, before they fell out with each other, in the build-up to the 2011 general election.

Folarin was believed to have supported Ajimobi against Alao-Akala in the build-up to the 2011 election.

The rivalry was rekindled in 2015 in the build-up to the PDP primaries. Folarin later got the party’s ticket while Alao-Akala left for the Labour Party, LP.

Few months after the election, ‎Alao-Akala declared for the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC.

Few weeks ago when the Sen. Ahmed Makarfi led national caretaker committee of the PDP came to Ibadan, the Oyo State capital, Ladoja, along with Mr Seyi Makinde, a chieftain of the Social Democratic Party (SDP) in the state, moved to the PDP but  Alao-Akala and Folarin were both absent which gave political analyst a major concern on what the two political gladiators  were  up to  this time.

Many had thought that Folarin would remain in the party and Alao-Akala would return but the trending photos may mean the “wooing “of Senator Folarin into the APC.

CEOAFRICA gathered that the realignment was in connection with the result of 2015 governorship election in Oyo state which produced the following results:

Ajimobi: 327,310

Ladoja: 254,520

Alao –Akala-184,111

Seyi Makinde- 54,019

A source from Oyo State Government who do not want his name to be mentioned told CEOAFRICA that a deal with Governor Ajimobi, Otunba Alao-Akala and Senator Teslim Kolawole Folarin will sum up to 590,440 in 2015 result of the governorship election for APC while Ladoja and Seyi Makinde deal will sum up to 309,260. Which means 2019 Ajimobi remains the power broker.

Details to come later ………….
