IPMAN TO PARTNER NNPC TO CURB PIPELINE VANDALISM

The Independent Petroleum Marketers Association (IPMAN), Benin zone are ready to partner with the authorities of the Nigeria National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) in the state. David Ikhuoria, the Chairman of Independent Petroleum Marketers Association (IPMAN), Benin zone declared this, stating that it is part of the Associations effort to help checkmate the activities of the crude oil pipeline vandals. Speaking at the weekend, in Benin City, after he was elected the chairman of the umbrella body, Ikhuoria revealed that about 200,000 barrels of crude oil was being siphoned on a daily basis in the country through pipelines, adding that this inclination poses great threat to the nation’s economy. He however, purported that the firm establishment of the partnership will go a long way to contribute in addressing the issue of pipeline vandalism in Nigeria, and as well make the depot feasible.
