Municipality Donates Books to Library in Western Sahara

According to reports reaching CEOAFRICA.com from Western Sahara, the Municipality of Pozuelo, as part of efforts to encourage reading and expand the knowledge of children and young Saharawis, has donated a total of 2,500 books to the library of Bir Lahlou Municipality, a Saharawi refugee camp.

The books which contains novels, poems and drama for children and adults, were published in Spanish and Arabic languages.

The ceremony was witnessed by the Mayor of the region Paloma Adrados, accompanied by the Councilor for Culture, Isabel Gonzalez. The Mayor handed solidarity copies of the books to the president of Bir Lahlou Pozuero, Montserrat Oro at the occasion held in Miguel de Cervantes Municipal Library.
