Recent report reaching the news desk of CEOAFRICA is that the health condition of the first black South African President, Nelson Mandela is ‘unchanged’.

It would be recalled that the African icon and Nobel Laureate award recipient was re-admitted at the Pretoria Hospital for a lung infection.

Speaking to the team of journalists who have continued camping outside the hospital, President Jacob Zuma, in a message, urged the whole nation to pray for the man that gave his all for his country.

“Former President Nelson Mandela remains in the hospital, and his condition is unchanged. Madiba was admitted on Saturday, 8 June 2013, for treatment in a Pretoria Hospital for a lung infection”, the Presidency said.

This was the first update on the health condition of Mandela since the presidency announced on Saturday morning that he has been admitted to the hospital.

Journalists from every corner of the earth braved the biting cold and monitor two main entrances to the hospital, with about 10 outside broadcasting vans stationed next to the entrances.

Mandela has been in and out of the hospital since December for recurring lung problem.
