SARKIN HAUSAWA ELEVATES SIX LESSER CHIEFS(Video)

It was a moment of joy in Ibadan yesterday as the Hausa community experienced another traditional ceremony of promoting lesser chiefs.

 The Sarkin Hausawa of Ibadan land, His Royal Highness, Alhaji (Dr)Ahmed .D. Zungeru was the one who performed the elevation rites.

The ceremony was well attended by friends and family from different parts of Nigeria.

The Seriki Hausawa of Ibadan land blessed the six chiefs from different zones in Ibadan, he also went ahead to crown them with the turbans, the turban shows that they have been elevated. These elevated chiefs after being turbaned rode on their different horses to parade and announce to the community of their elevation.

 Speaking with CEOAFRICA reporter, Sarkin Hausa of Ibadanland HRH Alhaji Ahmed .D. Zungeru expressed how proud he is to have witness a tradition such as this , and he prays God bless us all in the New Year.
