Osun State Governor, Mr Rauf Aregbesola has declared Thursday and Friday as public holiday in the state ahead of the local government election scheduled for this Saturday.

This was contained in a press statement by the Media Adviser to the Governor, Mr. Sola Fasure which was made available to our correspondent in Osogbo, the state capital on Wednesday.

Aregbesola called on eligible voters in the state to come out en masse on Saturday to perform their civic responsibility in the Local Government Election.

According to governor, the public holiday slated for Thursday 25th and Friday 26th January 25, became very necessary to enable Osun residents prepare and participate in the election.
