Doyin Okupe, the former aide to ex-president Jonathan, has said in a TV interview that PDP and APC can never win the 2019 forth coming election and he is sure that a new party will float soon.

Okupe, who is now leader of Accord Party in South West, acknowledged that Obasanjo spoke the bitter truth in his letter but the arrogance of the current government would never allow it admit it.

Speaking on Channels Television’s Sunrise Daily, a programme monitored by DAILY POST, the former presidential aide said Buhari should have departed for Obasanjo’s Hilltop Mansion in Ota 24 hours after receiving the letter.

The truth must be told. Baba (Obasanjo) is a man you can never discard his counsel. He voiced the bitter truth but the APC will never accept it. What Buhari should have done is that, the following day after receiving this letter, take a flight, go straight to Ota and ask him to tell you the way forward.

“I read the presidency’s reply and it is watery. I don’t think that reply was necessary,” he voiced.

Okupe also ruled out the chances of the APC or PDP winning the 2019 presidential election.

“No, PDP or APC can never win. That is just the truth. A new coalition would emerge between March and April and that is where the next leader would be decided.”
