Ousted Egyptian President, Mohammed Morsi
EGYPT-More than 60 supporters of the ousted Egyptian President, Mohammed Morsi, who were arrested during the 2013 violence, has been acquitted by a court in Egypt.
The men, most of whom have links with the banned Muslim Brotherhood, were accused of attempted murder and rioting in Cairo.
Also, a cameraman working for the broadcaster Al-Jazeera, was cleared by the court.
It would be recalled that following the removal of Morsi, the first democratically elected President, thousands gathered to protest the act and many were killed during several clashes with the military.
The interim government has declared the Muslim Brotherhood a terrorist organisation and arrested thousands of its members since last year.
