A former Minister of Aviation and now Senator representing Anambra North, Stella Oduah, was yesterday a guest of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFFC).

Oduah who had earlier ‘ignored’ several invitations by the anti-graft agency was said to have been grilled by a team of EFCC investigators for several hours.

Daily Trust gathered that the ex-minister arrived at the headquarters of the EFCC at 11am and was still being questioned as at 6pm.

A source confided in Daily Trust that the senator was being questioned over allegations bordering on abuse of office and money laundering during her tenure as aviation minister in the last administration.

One of the allegations, according to the source, who wouldn’t want to be named because he is not authorized to speak on the matter, was in connection with the N9.4billion ISEC contract for security installations in some airports.

The source said the EFCC had invited Oduah three times in the last seven months but on each occasion she failed to appear giving excuses.

Spokesman of the EFCC, Wilson Uwujaren confirmed to Daily Trust that the former minister was at their headquarters yesterday but declined to give further details.
