The Kara/Oju-irin/Abbatoir road in Bodija market, Ibadan will soon wear a new look following the flag off of the road by the caretaker chairman of Aare Latosa Local Council Development Area, LCDA Hon. Bashorun Adekunle Oladeji.
The flag off ceremony which took place at Bodija abbatoir road had in attendance, members of Aare Latosa LCDA, party chieftains of All Progressives Congress, APC including the chairperson of the party in Ibadan North, Alhaji Tinu Adigun, security agencies and members of the host communities.

Addressing the people, Hon. Oladeji thanked God for the historical event which many had thought was practically impossible in the area. He went further to appreciate the state governor, Senator Abiola Ajimobi for creating local council development areas in the state which has further helped in entrenching deeper the transformational agenda of the present administration across the state.

The caretaker chairman who further said that the construction of the Kara/Oju-irin/Abbatoir road is a clear testimony of the Ajimobi led state government resolve to make room for rural and urban development through good road networks, appreciated the state governor for approving the construction of the raod which he believed will enhance the economic activities of both the market and Bodija axis of the city.

''In fact, I hardly know how to express my gratitude to His Excellency, the Governor of Oyo State, Sen. Abiola Ajimobi who graciously approved the construction of this road. This is a clear testimony to the seriousness that the state government attached to urban and rural development through good road network''.
Hon. Oladeji however appealed to people living in the area to co-operate with the site engineers handling the project to ensure quick completion of the project. The caretaker chairman also charged the people to make good use of the road noting that to ''whom much is given, much is expected''.

While commending the caretaker chairman of Aare Latosa LCDA, Hon. Bashorun Adekunle Oladeji, the chairman, Bodija Butchers Association, Ganiyu Olobo described Hon. Oladeji as a great leader who has keen interest of the masses. According to Olobo, the Kara/Oju-irin/Abbatoir road has been in comatose for the past forty years and now that the government has finally harkened to their voice, he appealed to traders and other people plying the road to make good use of the road.
On his part, a resident in the area, Adesanya Adewale appreciated Hon. Oladeji for coming to the aid of the people living in Kara/Oju-irin/Abbatoir road. He described Hon. Oladeji as a man who has the listening ears to hear the yearnings of the people and who is ever ready to ensure that the dividends of democracy gets to people at the grassroot.
The highpoint of the event was the flag off ceremony performed by the caretaker chairman, Hon. Oladeji and other dignitaries including the Baale of Bodija, Alhaji Oyeranmi.
