The Institute of Peace and strategic Studies I(PSS) University of Ibadan is set to present a book aimed at further promoting the core mandate of the centre which is ultimately encouraging and propagating peace.
The new book, ''Guns and Society in Colonial Nigeria'' is authored by an American based scholar, Saheed Aderinto.
The book which has the sub title ''firearms, culture and public order'' is expected to be presented to the general public on Thursday May 29th, 2018 at the Institute of Peace and Strategic Studies, Parry road, University of Ibadan.
As way of unraveling the potentials of the new book in curtailing restiveness as well as the propagation of peace, several academic scholars have been lined up to serve as panelists.
Among the expected panelists at the May 29 presentation include, Prof. Isaac Olawale Albert of the University of Ibadan, Dr. Adeola Adams of the Nigeria Watch/IFRA- Nigeria, University of Ibadan, Dr. Olisa Muojama of the University of Ibadan, Dr. Monsuru Muritala also of the University of Ibadan and Edmund Obilo of Bilficom Media and Systems.
To this end, IPSS, University of Ibadan is inviting stakeholders in the field of promoting peace and the general public to the presentation of this new book which has the wherewithal to proffering solutions to the restiveness currently pervading the nation and the globe at large.
