As it is the academic norm for tertiary institutions in the country to hold matriculation for their newly admitted students, Chrisland University, Abeokuta is set to hold her 3rd matriculation ceremony for the 2017/2018 academic session.
The ceremony which is designed for the new intakes of the university will take place on Thursday 15th March, 2018 at exactly 10 am at the school premises and is meant to formally confirm the status of the matriculants as bonafide students of Chrisland University.
Expected at the event is Prof. Oladapo Walker who will serve as the guest speaker of the occasion. Prof. Walker who is a lecturer in one of the universities in Nigeria is expected to speak on students general attitudes towards their academic performance as well as the need for the new students to key into the entrepreneural programme of Chrisland University.
The Professor of Pharmacology was a former WHO representative to Uganda and a former Co-ordinator of the Inter Country Support team, IST for West Africa and East Africa. Prof. Walker also served as WHO representative in countries like Zimbabwe, Burkina Faso and host of other African countries.
The entire management of Chrisland Univeriaty Abeokuta, Ogun State led by an erudite professor of pharmacy and the Vice Chancellor of Chrisland University, Prof. Chinedum Peace Babalola and staff of the university will be on ground to receive the dignitaries that will grace the occasion from all walks of life.
