The National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) allocated about N10.322billion to emergency needs between January 2017 and this month, its Director General Mustapha Maihaja said yesterday.
He said he could only account for NEMA activities from April 2017 when he took over to date.
He said NEMA secured the approval of the Bureau of Public Procurement(BPP) before engaging in procurements.
He added that the agency did not abuse due process in the award of contracts for the nation’s emergency needs.
