Former Minister of Education, Oby Ezekwesili has reacted after reports alleged that she called President Muhammadu Buhari a masquerade while reacting to his second term declaration.

 “Reading the Breaking News that our President will be seeking reelection in 2019, I remembered the story of the ';Ejionu'; masquerade." Oby had written.

 Giving clarifications on the report, the co-founder BringBackOurGirls group wrote:

"Some “Journalists” can make one both laugh & cry sometimes.

I used an allegory of a masquerade to react to the President’s announcement of his re-election bid. Some wrote: “Ezekwesili Calls Buhari a Masquerade”.
