The honourable representing Lagelu/Akinyele federal constituency and Chairman House Committee on Urban Development and Regional Planning Hon. Olatoye Temitope Sugar has commended the effort of the Nigeria Police Force for a job well done after it was announced this morning that the mace had been recovered from the street of Abuja.

Hon. Sugar while speaking with CEOAfrica frowned at the unfortunate incident and described the disgraceful invasion of the Senate chamber by suspected hoodlums as an attempted coup d’état.

He lauded members of the House of Representatives who paid the senate a solidarity visit and staff of the chamber for their roles in defending democracy.

Hon. Sugar however, advised youths to be more courteous, responsible and dedicated to their country as it was viewed in the pictures that went viral that, those who stole the mace were young men.
