The record of death from the Mubi multiple suicide bomb attack in Adamawa state has increased to 60. Two suicide bombers found their way into a market and a mosque in Mubi town and detonated their IED vest, killing many people including children yesterday afternoon.

The suicide bombers hit the popular Gwonjo Market where second-hand clothes are sold and a mosque about 20 meters away at about 1:30pm. 

A resident of the state, Garba Habu, who witnessed the attacks said ‘‘a boy of about 18-19 years wearing a suicide vest was said to have entered the mosque along with other worshippers. Immediately after the prayers, he detonated the bomb.”
