The Director of the National Youth Service Corps in Osun State, Mr. Emmanuel Attah, disclosed that 81 graduates mobilized for the national service in the state have been rejected based on health grounds.
Attah said this on Wednesday during the visit of the representative of the Director General of the NYSC to the permanent orientation camp in Ede to inspect facilities.
The NYSC boss however lamented that some corps members with health challenges were hiding their health statuses and did not seek treatment at the camp clinic.
Attah urged those who are asthmatic and living with other conditions to visit the camp clinic for treatment, saying medical personnel from the Obafemi Awolowo University Teaching Hospital, Ile-Ife; and corps doctors were always available to attend to them.
The NYSC boss stated further that 26 prospective corps members were also turned back on marital ground.
