The Nigeria Defence Academy (NDA) commandant, Major Gen. Adeniyi Oyebade has assured of a hitch-free annual conference of the Historical Society of Nigeria (HSN) to be hosted by the NDA between 7th to 11th October.
He gave the assurance while receiving a delegation of the council member of the HSN led by its President Prof. CBN Ogbogbo on Tuesday in Kaduna.
He promised that no stone would be left on unturned,stating that the necessary arrangement will be put in place to ensure the conference runs smoothly.
The President of the HSN, Prof. CBN Ogbogbo expressed gratitude to the commandant for his support and commitment towards the society.
“We thank you for the support you have given us both at institutional level and at a personal. We have been briefed of your commitment and payment for life membership of the society, we thank you very much sir.
“Secondly, as it is our tradition with the society, few weeks to the conference we come to where the conference is to take place to collaborate further with the LOC, to know what is on ground and interact with them. We thank you for all the arrangements that have been put in place even as we continue to seek your support” for sucessful hosting he said.
