The Oblates of St. Joseph Nigeria witnessed the priestly ordination of Father Simon Agubeze over the weekend in Ibadan.
The occasion which was greeted with funfare also saw friends and family from various works of life gather to show support and celebrate with the new ordained Reverend Father.
In an interview with CEOAfrica media crew, Father Simon expressed his gratitude to God for making the occasion a success and prayed for God';s blessing on everyone that came to share in his joy.
On his decision to dedicate himself to the service of the Lord, he said, " My decision to serve God in the priesthood was something born out of my love for the Eucharist.
Sister to the newly ordained priest, Pst(Mrs) Vera Emmason, stated that Father Simon has always had the virtue in him that shows that he is a separated one.
She said, "He is very humble, stands for justice and hates to other people taken advantage of. Moreover, he is an ambassador of peace and has the fear of God in him"
She further wished the new Priest long life, good health and more grace to work in the vine yard of God and live a fulfilled life in his ministry.
The occasion also witnessed the ordination of six other Priests, they are: Rev.Father Cornelius Adaka, Rev. Father Paul Okoromi, Rev. Father Thomas Tiza, Rev. Father Michael Orvainya, Rev. Father Peter Ezekpeazu, and Rev. Father Francis Afolabi.
