The Police has confirmed a fresh bomb blast in Nyanya, Abuja, and Thursday evening.

The explosion reportedly took place near the scene of the previous attack that claimed scores of lives. Traffic congestion according to the police is hampering rescue operations.

While the number of the casualties is yet to be ascertained, many victims have been rushed to the Asokoro hospital and others for treatment.

The National Emergency Management Authority (NEMA) conformed that Nine bodies have been deposited in the mortuary while 11 unconscious persons are receiving treatment.

An eyewitness said the explosion occurred at about 8.20pm in a white Gulf car.
