The long awaited Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) convention has kicked off. This follows after the National Chairman opening speech followed by the National anthem.
Delegates have taken their rightful positions according to states as was mapped out by the organizing committee.

Security agents mounting the polling booth. We';re getting closer to the election.
Here the delegates decides who wears the helmet to face their main opposition party.
This follows immediately after former president Goodluck Jonathan addressed the audience, he was flanked by his former deputy Namadi Sambo and a few other individuals.
Okowa is currently dishing out the voting guidelines.
Some of the rules are:
No phones at the voting cubicle
Two states will be called at the same time.
The left cubicle are for the delegates on the left, while the right are for the delegates at the right.
The number of accredited voters will be confirmed with the results
No two delegates can approach one cubicle at the same time, else they will be disqualified
Ballot papers will be given out per delegate.
Delegates are to use their thumb to press on the ink load and vote alone in the cubicle provided.
At the end of that process, the next two states will be called upon.
When voting is over, sorting and counting will commence in the presence of aspirants and their agents.
Delegates will watch from a distance and ensure everything is transparent
Seal is on every ballot paper so that no delegate is able to bring another ballot paper in.
