The 63rd annual conference of the Historical Society of Nigeria is upon us already.
The conference which is kicking off on Sunday, 7th October is scheduled to run through to 11th October. The Nigerian Defence Academy (NDA) will be hosting the conference for the first time in its illustrious history.
Coincidentally this year';s HSN conference will be beaming the search light on the impact of the military in Nigerian history since 1960.
Given the pedigree of the NDA and indeed the HSN, this year';s conference promises to be a memorable one. It would be recalled that the NDA Commandant, Major Gen. Adeniyi Oyebade had assured of a hitch-free annual conference of the Historical Society of Nigeria (HSN) while receiving a delegation of the council member of the HSN led by its President Prof. CBN Ogbogbo a couple of weeks ago in Kaduna.
He promised that no stone would be left unturned stating that the necessary arrangement will be put in place to ensure the conference runs smoothly.
