Governor Aminu Masari of Katsina state  will submit the state’s 2019 appropriation bill before the state house of assembly next week, the state commissioner of Information, Culture and Home Affairs, Hamza Muhammad Borodo, has said.

Speaking at the end of the 8th regular executive council meeting of the state, Borodo said this was one of the decision reached at the end of the meeting.

At the meeting, he said, the special adviser to the Governor on Budget had presented the 2019 budget estimates to the council were it was resolved to be forwarded to the state assembly by next week.

It  would  be recalled that the state government presented N211.4billion for its 2018 fiscal year which was made up of N51.4billion and N160billion recurrent and capital expenditure respectively.

The 2018 budget was equally higher than that of 2017 by N71.3billion.
