There was pandemonium on sunday at the Christian community in kachia local government area of Kaduna state Jerry Gandy reports

Unknown gun men attacked the Christian community during Sunday service and destroyed properties and livestock worth millions of naira and also displaced more than 1000 dwellers at the camp.

The allegation against the Christian community is that unknown people destroyed a fence in a Muslim environment which is owned by the ministry of works and transport of Kaduna state. Some of the leaders lost their lives in the attack, more than 20 cattle killed and over 1000 dweller rendered homeless. Currently, refugees in hundreds are in Ecwa church Gumel kachia Local Government Kaduna. One of the Christian leaders disclosed that they are not happy with the commissioner of police in Kaduna state, who denied that there was no loss of live in the attack.

The Governor of Kaduna state Mukhtar Ramalan Yero visited the refugees at Gumel and assure them that the law will catch up with those perpetrating evil in the community. He gave the assurance to the Christians during a visit to them. The Governor sympathized with them and pleaded with the leaders to help talk to their people to remain calm and law abiding as government will bring the perpetrators of this evil act to book.

The governors directed the commissioners in the ministries of Works, Land and Education to intervene in resolving the recent crisis in Kachia and help bring a lasting solution to the crisis.
