Nelson Mandela
Information reaching the news desk of CEOAFRICA.com from Pretoria, the capital of South Africa is that the former president and African Icon, Nelson Mandela is conscious and responsive, though he’s still in “critical but stable condition.”
This was credited to a statement released about the health of the anti-apartheid leader, released on Wednesday.
Sources disclosed that South African church leaders gathered in front of the hospital where Madiba has spent two months to pray for him, and immediately the prayer session ended, the president of the Council of Churches, Johannes Seoka, told journalists that Mandela’s wife Craca Machel said the ailing former leader was responsive.
“We did not see Madiba, we prayed in a room reserved for visitors, for churches to come and pray where the family also receives Madiba’s guests,” he said.
He also added saying they were informed that he is critical but stable and that he is very conscious, he can hear every word that is spoken to him and he does respond.
