A boat carrying over 150 travellers has capsized on Lake Victoria in Uganda.

The unfortunate incident took place yesterday as the travellers were said to be heading for a party.

According to reliable sources many of the travellers have been confirmed dead while others have also been rescued as at the time of filing this report.

The Prince of Buganda kingdom, Prince Wasajja who was part of the travelling party was said to have been rescued from the boat mishap. Other travellers reported to have been rescued include Hope Mukasa, Kiyimba Freeman, Irene Namubiru among others.
