Delta state Police force gets new Commissioner

Delta state police command has gotten a new commissioner of police as the former commissioner embarks on a primary assignment in Ebonyi state.

In a press release signed by DSP Andrew Aniamaka, Police public Relations Officer, Asaba, made available to CEOAfrica, CP Anthony Ogbizi has been assigned to take over Delta state police commands’ affair while his predecessor, CP Muhammed Alhaji Mustapha resumes office in Ebonyi state.

An indigene of Obudu Local government area of Cross-River state, CP Ogbizi is an alumnus of University of Calabar where he obtained Bsc in political science.

He was recruited into the police force in 1986, as assistant superintendent of police (ASP), Ogbizi has since then headed various office in the Nigeria police force which include; ACP, DOPs’ Delta state; Assistant Commissioner of Police; Special Investigation Unit FCIID Abuja; Assistant Commissioner of police; Counter terrorism and general Investigation EFCC.

Other posts include; Deputy Commissioner of police; Administration force Headquarters Abuja; Commissioner of police; former special fraud unit, Abuja; CP community policing force, headquarters Abuja; CP special squad Unit Abuja; CP Railway Command; CP Abia state Command and briefly CP Ebonyi state Police Command.

CP Ogbizi, while resuming office pledged to maintain existing security mechanism built by his predecessor, assuring peace and security in Delta state. He, however enjoins members of the public to always cooperate with police and other security agencies at all time.

On that same note, the outgoing CP, appreciated the peaceful cooperation he enjoyed from both the public and government of Delta state, hence, urged same hand to be extended to his successor.

CP Ogbizi is happily married with Children.
