The founder of Chrisland University, Dr. (Mrs) Winifred Awosika(OON) was filled with joy and delight on the occasion of the 3rd Chrisland Christmas concert and carol service which was held in the school auditorium on Sunday.
According to Dr. Awosika, fondly referred to as ‘mama’, “I am in high spirits, you could see me dancing, jubilating and thanking God for sustaining us through this year successfully.
On the emergence of Chrisland University as one of the best private Universities in the country, she had this to say: “It is all by the grace of God and the fact that everyone involved are putting in their best. We aimed for the best, Chrisland schools are known for quality education and we are glad for what has been achieved so far.”

She added that the institution prayed to have a good Vice Chancellor from the beginning; we had a panel made up of professors, members of the governing council and board of trustees, we interviewed about nine candidates for the role and Prof. Chinedum Peace Babalola emerged the overall best and that is why she is here with us.
She hinted that the institution be looking to add the Colleges of Medicine and Law to its programs in the coming years adding that any other moves for expansion will come at their own time.
On a lighter note, she took the opportunity to wish Nigerians a very Merry Christmas celebration ahead.
The event which featured sonorous rendition of Christmas songs, drama presentation, Bible reading, messages and award presentations was well attended by the Founder Chrisland Group of Schools, Dr. Winifred Awosika, VC of the institution, Prof. Chinedum Peace Babalola, staffs and students of the institution, parents and the general public.
